Best Friends and Introduction

This is Io and Callisto having a snack, they are pals and most of the time are together. They are both C.Perlatus or Strawberries.

Io is the smaller of the two, he has been with me since November. He loves to be a brat and is the one of most active in the tank. He doesn't like water that much and only takes a bath when needed. One time, he escaped and took refuge under the stove, after that, my mom nicknamed him Rebeldosa mean Rebellion in Spanish. She thought he was a girl at that time, and so did I, but we recently found out that he didn't have gonopores and is officially a male! He did have a friend before Callisto, her name was Teleste. After Teleste's death, Io was devastated and went under. He came back 2 months later, freshly molted. He started spending time with Callisto after that, and they are now BFFs.


This is Callisto, the bigger of the two. She has been with me since February. She's my largest Straw ever. We found her at Petco, she was the last Straw available. I was actually going to buy a PP, but I saw her and flooded. She really never interacted with Io, but she did hang with Teleste. But when Teleste died she went on to look for a new friend. She didn't find anyone, so she dug down. At the time, Io barely surfaced. They next time, she came up freshly molted, with a peice of Exo in her claw, which she then ate. At the time, Io was up. Callisto then began to follow Io, and that's how they became friends.
